Phormium cookianum (Mountain Flax)

  • Expansive root system makes it an excellent choice for erosion control on banks and bunds. Produces lovely flowers from early to mid Summer and fruit/seeds from mid to late Summer. This versatile plant exhibits remarkable tolerance to dry, cold, and exposed conditions. Grows to 1-1.5m in height.

Phormium tenax (Swamp Flax)

  • A striking large flax that forms robust clumps of broad, vibrant green leaves. Exceptional low shelter and erosion control solution, with flowers in mid Summer, attracting a variety of pollinators and birds. Very hardy; thrives in diverse environments from swampy areas to coastal regions. Grows 3-4m in height.
